Most of the time Zane wakes up on his own. A lot of the time we don't even know he is awake. He'll just lay in his cradle happily looking around, playing with his hands, and generally just enjoying the look and feel of his room. But a couple of times a week he sleeps long enough that we have to wake him. So we sneak into his room and have developed a routine:
- Turn off the humidifier
- Turn off the white noise machine
- Open the cradle swing's tray
- Unbuckle him
- Sit back and watch as he wakes
Check out this long video (You've been warned...2:20 minutes) of him waking up. It's great to see him wake up, look around, and start smiling as soon as he sees us.
It's a great way to start your morning!
This particular video was taken over Easter weekend when Ooma was visiting.
What you just saw on the video is how he wakes up every single morning...happy. We're blessed and we know it!
But all isn't so rosy in the morning.Remind me sometime to tell you about what happens 30 minutes after he wakes....it relates 100% to the solid food he ate the night before.
