A "World Class Boo-boo Lip"

Poor Jake Stallbaumer.

Over the weekend of September 22nd, Angela K. threw my wife a baby shower. It was a baby shower for mothers and daughters. Except for poor Jakey. He was the only boy present at this shower. 20 females, 1 male.

[Yes, I will have a whole post on the Baby Shower...no worries.]

Now before you think to yourself, "Hmmm... 20 women, 1 man. Pretty good odds," please stop and remember this was a baby shower, which equates to a huge estrogen-fest.

Estropalooza, if you will.

So please forgive the little guy for having a slightly sour disposition.

You'd probably be a little surly if you had to spend 3 hours of your short life at a Baby Shower that wasn't about you.

But after seeing the above picture, I decided this WORLD CLASS BOO-BOO LIP needed to be displayed.

But to get the full affect, check out this close up:

Ok, we're back up and running!

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last 10 days.

I tried to get cute and tweak a few things and actually deleted parts of the blog itself.

I guess I'm not as SMART as I think I am when it comes to XML Widgets, especially when it comes to trying to embed things into the blog itself.

But have no fear, I have things galore to post about: 3rd Trimester Ultrasound, Court's Baby Shower, all the stuff we've accumulated for tHGP, how the nursery is coming along, etc.

Bye for now!

Baby [insert name]'s initials...

We here at the Human Glynn Project are constantly bombarded with the same question over and over and over:

"What is the baby's name?"

Well, tHGP recently released a puzzle picture that contains the project's initials:

Just a fun teaser to noodle over.

And sorry folks...we're not taking guesses! We won't confirm or deny anything!!

Baby [insert name]'s newest gizmo!

The Human Glynn Project received a brand new gizmo this week courtesy of the Burleigh ladies... Jeanine, Audrey, Allison, Emma, and Corinne.

Fortunately, the fine folks at Graco must have read this blog and tailored the "put togetherness" of the gift to match my skill level.

Usually I take the path of "Instructions? Pffft...those are for wimps." And that is followed 20 minutes later with me taking the item apart again, reading the instructions, and reassembling the item correctly.

Don't believe me? Ask Courtney about the keyboard incident....or the screw in the entertainment center...and about 10 other incidents she'll happily relate to you.

Since The Human Glynn Project hasn't launched yet, we had to use a stunt double to show off the new toy. So with that being said, here's the newest gizmo:

Here's a close-up of the the stunt double:

Like I said, the folks at Graco set this assembly up so sweet that it only took 20 minutes to put together. It went together as smooth as a baby's bottom. The picture of the swing on the box it came in matched perfectly with what I put together. WOOHOO!

Anyway, much thanks to the Burleigh women... Aunt Jeanine, Cousin Audrey, Cousin Allison, Cousin Emma, and...

...COUSIN CORINNE!

Ain't she a cutie?

By the way, Corinne is the newest addition for Matt and Audrey Landwehr (Hi Matty!). Corinne's older sister is Emma.

INSIDE JOKE ALERT! Chuck, if you read this blog entry, Court and I almost bought you a CD of Irish songs played on bagpipes. I'm quite certain Dad would have found it all as funny as we did.

Have a great day, everyone!

the Human Glynn Project - Declassified Video*

The Human Glynn Project has recently declassified video. This is the first video attempt, so hopefully it works.

The video is from June 1, 2007, and showcases some of the new 3-D technology that ultrasounds use today. Enjoy!

More to come.

* "Declassified video" is just a fancy way of me saying, "I couldn't find my video editing software until this last Saturday"

tHGP - Photo Evidence (6.5 months)

The Human Glynn Project (tHGP) has been developing, diligently growing, over the last 6.5 months. Recently the vessel consented (i.e. was in an agreeable mood) to have photos taken and displayed.

tHGP is now under 100 days till launch. All signs are good.

Exhibit - A

Exhibit - 2

I've taken on the role of an administrator in this project. I try to oversee the needs of the project.

But as with most companies or projects, the real work is done by the people in trenches, those who are doing the "hands on" work. Which leads me to my wife. Courtney is the Head of the Department of Development, Nutrition, and Genetics. She is doing her job splendidly!

SIMPSONIZE ME!

Ever wonder what I would look like drawn as a Simpsons character? Yeah, me too!!!

Now we all can see it.

BEHOLD! Mike Glynn as a Simpsons character!

D'OH!!!

Not too bad of a likeness, if I do must say myself...which since I'm the one writing this blog, means I will have to say it myself.

And since I'm in full Simpsons mode, let me offer this advice:

GIVE A HOOT! READ A BOOK!

Shameless Plug - The Series (Episode 1): Sign the Guestbook!

Look at the column on the right...see where it says "NEW! Our Guestbook!" Guess what that is? Go on, give it a shot. Here, let me help:

a) Guestbook.
b) Guestbook?
c) Guestbook!
d) All of the above.

We just decided we wanted to know who was visiting our blog. Not everyone leaves comments, which is A-Ok. But we also wanted to know the people who are reading the blog. So we thought we'd give a blank forum for people to just say "Hi."

We're not asking for a life story, a witty comment, or anything like that. Just click on the "Sign Our Guestbook" link and type away.
  • Friends
  • Co-workers
  • Family members
  • Admirers
  • Phil

Come one, come all...don't be shy.

I have a goal of getting 50 people to sign the book...so don't let me down, people!
